Scion sketch

Still toying with this whole Scion thing. I think I'm gonna get one this year.

Here's a quick 5 minute sketch. Just being loose and letting it find itself.

I try to sketch randomly every night for about 20 minutes. It's great exercise.

Re: Scion sketch

It's supposed to be a Scion XB though it's such a rough sketch it looks like a Scion Lemorris Must B drunk.

In any case.

Most of the time I sketch with a pencil, but all I had near me was a pen. My daughter keeps swiping my pencils.

I just kinda gravitated towards pens because I used to print t-shirts for about 7 years. Pen and ink is vital to t-shirt printing. I also sold lineart to magazines for years to make a little extra money. My wife is an artist as well and we struggled to eat until...well...actually I guess we still are.

It's all good though. Persistence always pays off.

I'm still sketchin out ideas for this thing, but I think I got one:

I might flatten it out in the next stages, but I like the attitude and stance.

Ahhhh....I'll sleep well tonight.

Looking good Lemmy! Now sketch an damn hot rod, like a '51-'54 Chevy Bel Air.

LOLOL Mike!

I got a call a couple nights ago from the Southern Arizona Buick Club.

They want to do a design for their annual show. I've done like 6 out of 7 of their shows. This time they want to get shirts early so they can move them on the web.

They want a 69, 48, and a 55 Buick.

Here's the cars:

I'll post them when they're done. I'll try to do at least 2 of them by Sunday and the third by next Tuesday. The never ending Scion may have to park for a bit. It's still on the light table:
