How much work/money does it take to get 350whp OR 12.XX 1/4 mile in a MK4 1.8T GTI?

Hi, I am looking for a new car since my last car got totaled and I'm considering getting a GTI 1.8T. I like the GTI since it isn't as common to see on the street like an integra or civic. I also like that the car comes stock turbocharged. My last car was an Eclipse GST, and I loved being able to feel and hear the turbo spool.

So, yea I just wanted to know if any of you vw guys could tell me how difficult and an estimate of how much money is needed to reach 350whp in a GTI. Thanks alot guys!

very easy, just get APR stage III and you will have more than 350hp at fly wheel, and 1/4 is about mid 12s according goapr.com and some videos i've seen on their site, the kit is about $4k, or you can get atp with GT28RS H/W Kit - Transverse which is about $2.4k which will give you about 350 whp, which means your looking at 400hp at fly wheel. Now with either of those setup's you will be walking over those sti's or evo's. But only if they are stock or slightly modified, if evo/sti are heavily modified you got no chance.

Here a pic of prove of gti hp with atp turbo upgrade

This can be done with the stock internals? And will these kits pass emissions?

Nope, stock internals can handle that much power.
