Air Temperature Sensor

I just installed a short ram intake and unfortunately, on the tube I bought, there is no place to put the air temperature sensor. I have heard of people drilling a hole and threading it to insert the sensor, but that seems like a huge pain. If i have to do it I will, but it seems like there should be an easier way. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah, i have a 1996 SL1.

Re: Air Temperature Sensor

i drilled mine but i don't have a tap and die set so i couldn't thread the hole. the alumium wasn't very thick so i just got my wrench and used a little elbow grease. it went in, i messed up the threads on the ATS, but i don't plan on taking it out. other options are letting the thing just hang loose (i wouldn't do this, you'll get a bad reading), i think K&N or some company has an air filter with a hole built-in for the ATS, or drill it and use silicon or super glue.
