Antenna Knocking?
Whenever I start my car and the radio turns on, the antenna goes up to where it's supposed to go and then stops, but there's still a knocking noise after it's done moving. It's the same for when it goes back down. It doesn't really seem to affect anything, but it's annoying as hell. Any ideas?

Spray some lubricant on it. The individual antenna pieces are probably just stuck on something. The knocking noise is from the antenna motor trying to push the antenna up.

indeed.. my new one is starting to do that again. grease it up. the knocking you hear is the plastic teeth grinding.

I, like a dumbass, BROKE my antenna by forgetting to shut my stereo off when going through a carwash.... SO, I went to honda, got the OEM replacement and THEN it started knocking so I just turned the stereo on, got the antenna up and pulled the plug on the motor.
I was so disappointed that the NEW antenna started knocking w/in 3 months of being put into the car.
