vr4 question
I currently own a gsx and I am considering buying a stealth rt tt. I have been told they are great cars and also unreliable. Problems with the drive train and accesories. Can anyone who owns a vr4 tell me what you think about these cars. The gsx I own has things going wrong that are inconsistant and a pain in the ass and I don't want to buy a car with a bad reputation. This thread is posted in the stealth forum also. Thanks in advance

I hear about the reliability line all the time. Having owned these cars a combined 13 years (2 overlapping) I can say there were no more problematic than any other car I've owned the last few decades. The issue with them is that the same repairs and parts are more expensive then for other cars.
The cars are a blast and are among the best looking cars on the road. You just have to have some cash for insurance, gas (premium) and the occasional expensive part.

Re: vr4 question
I agree, they aren't amazing, they aren't bad. There are a few problems that you will always hear about, the transfer case for instance, but I can name problematic parts on my Honda as well. It is an average car as far as reliability goes, and an above average car as far as cost, simply because there aren't that many of them, and they stopped producing them. If you get one that was taken care of, you will be fine. Only problems I have had with mine are my own damn fault.
