Re: someone told me the rx7 and the Fiero are the same other then the motor

Hmm. Whoever told you this is obviously horribly informed yet confident enough in his skills of observation (which are obviously poor) to look at the cars and believe that they are the same.

the fiero is a 6 or 4 cylinder rear/mid/WE engine vehicle
the rx7 is a 2 rotor mid engine

aside from the 2 said vehicles possibly being the same color, there are little to no similarities

As to who would win in a 1/4, to even begin analyzing the situation you need to give a specific year of each car, and we need to know things like whether the rx7 is a turbo or not, or the fiero is a 4 or 6 cylinder.

why do people ask about 1/4 times and comparisons? there is a thread for comparing cars so go there!

Re: someone told me the rx7 and the Fiero are the same other then the motor

99% diff... would be 100 but both are 2 doors, eh.

(all numbers have been googled) The fiero has 140 hp stock, lets assume that with an intake it is up to 150hp. The T2 on the other hand starts with 182 hp stock and they can gain about 60 hp from an exhaust alone, with an intake possibly (guess) an extra 70hp making it 252. Not accounting for the general wear and tear of either engine, that T2 could easily have 100 hp on the fiero.

So this is what we have

A 252 hp, 2,645 lb RX7----------and
A 150 hp, 2,700 lb Fiero

Granted the Fiero will make peak power earlier, I seriouslt doubt that that is going to matter when the the RX7 has about 100 hp on it.

RX7 pwns Fiero

The Fiero is the worst thing to ever disgrace the drivetrain layout of MR.

Some of them actually blew their engines driving off of the sales lot. Ugly unreliable slow P.O.S. doesnt compare to the RX-7 Turbo II in ANY WAY.

(Although there are a few engine swapped Fieros that can run a mean 1320)

woah! You are WAY over exaggerating. lol
I have yet to hear anything about them being unreliable. Quite the opposite. *shrugs
but I agree, stock they aren't supercars to say the least. IIRC GM/pontiac didn't bring them out to be sports cars(wich is kind of odd since it is MR..) So yeah, they arent much stock but they are an excellent platform to start from. I am/was planning on getting an 88gt and dropping an LS1 inside it amungst a few other little goodies. I guaranty I would run better then 13.2 hehe
anyway, not to say they are so much better then anyother car.. just saying they arent THAT bad.

I'm not the biggest fan of Fieros. nbw you should just buy the TII that's on your list of cars in your sig.
