93 Ranger 2.3L T-Belt

I need some suggestions....The timing belt blew in my 93 Ford Ranger 2.3l yesterday...does anyone know if when the timing belt goes that it will bend valves? ( I heard it was a possibility ) if so, got any suggestions? I would hate to get rid of the truck, its been a great vehicle!!!

Re: 93 Ranger 2.3L T-Belt

I have seen quite a number of blown timing belts on the 2.3 liter engines, and have yet to see them bend a valve. I am not saying that it will never happen, I have yet to see it. Take the couple hours to change the timing belt, and off you go.
