about 2300 ...but you have to factor in how much where you take it is gonna charge you for an install, plus your fabricated mounts..but for a complete swap out most places are about 2300 lately

Re: how much for a h22 swap?

how much did you buy your 99 accord for
you can proly sell your accord and add the 2500-3000 or so you'll spend on the swap and buy a used Lude with the H22 pre-installed and have a much faster car that handles and looks better IMO

Boost the engine you have, albeit mildly. Or rebuild it and boost it heavily. Or buy a bigger engine. If you do your own work, these options get more expensive as they go. The way I look at it, Put the biggest engine into the smallest car (h23 with turbo and NO2) or get a new car. H22s are so sought after they are hardly worth it. I wouldn't spend my money on it in an Accord chassis, because you might as well get a Prelude.

Re: how much for a h22 swap?

the question was for how much an h22 goes for...if he was interested in boosting his current motor he would have said that

Re: how much for a h22 swap?

and the biggest engine into the smallest car theory of yours is retarted ! ever heard of weight ratio's and steering geometry ? h22 in an accord is a justified swap if YOU like teh accord and want to make it fast, so just because he wants an H22 doesnt mean he should buy a prelude...my 93 sol has a B16a2 does that mean i should have bought a civic...NO

That's quite true. My Del Sol has a b16 too and I don't mess around swapping it or boosting it because I like it just the way it is. I'd horse around with other stuff, though. A civic with a fat engine isn't what I'd call retarded. If I had money to burn, I'd have a 'lude engine in my HB. Instead, I put in cheap boost.
As far as a 'lude itself, it can be had for a similar price as the Accord, if you like it. Just throwing out options, cuz h22s are spendy.
ANyways, if you keep the original engine in the Accord but build it and boost it well, won't you get a better balance? Probably not as big of a difference as in the 'lude to HB equation, but still throwing weight up front, right? We are in the turbo/SC/NOS forum, right?

It's funny all the anger around here. Now I'm scared to say anything...someone might hurt my feelings

Re: how much for a h22 swap?

im by no means a dick..im gonna get that accross right now, but i can be if you piss me off.
an h22 wont throw the balance off in an accord but it will in a civic and so forth..and 2300 is not spendy..same as a 2nd gen b16 swap..and my b16a2 is not factory, mine is a swap and that wasnt the point i was tryin to make....and i dont care if were in the fuckin care-bears forum..the question wasnt about boost..
