Help! How to remove stock stereo unit on '04 Elantra?

Hello,

I want to replace the stock cassette headunit on my 04 Elantra GLS and i have no idea where to begin? What should i remove and how do i do it? Any tips? Any documentation available on this?
I don't want to destroy the dashboard of my car.

Thank you in advance!

Removal of stock radio in 2004 Elantra GLS-Remove ashtray, then two screws in ashtray track. Remove two screws above instrument cluster. Carefully pull on plastic, grey, molding near and above ashtray opening. Work your way up towards the vents, then insert a flat knife on the left hand sde of the instrument cluster with door open. You will need a philips and flat knives to do this job. After you have grey plastic molding away from dash you will need to disconect all ellectrical wires. Rmove screws on bracket of radio, remove radio. You should have prewired the new harness plug. Take the two brakets off of factory radio and attach to new radio. Check radio operation then reinstall dash molding. The left vent may have popped out during removal, insert and check operation. Here are the ellectrical connections to reattach. From the left, one wire for dimmer switch, three wires for center, hazard, air bag, and clock, two wires for ash tray, one light and one for lighter. Have a thin towel or paper towel to put over steering collumn so you don't scratch paint. This should help you. PS, you also have to remove the small compartment below the radio. Two screws won't be used that attaches it to the radio. you will use screws on each side to put back in this compartment. If your thinking of a remote rader detector, the compartment is a great place for it. My radio sounds great, not like the factory one that whines on AM stations. Good Luck.
