Unhappy One little question!

I have a 2000 automatic Golf engine 2.0, i bought it used almost a year ago and i have spent almost $ 2000 dlls. on my car fixing mechanic problems. On these cars do you spend a lot of money???

When i first got it, it had 43,000 miles right now 53,000 i have had a lot of problems with the check engine light.

What i'm trying to say is if you always are going to have problems with these cars?? I really like it but this is my first VW and sometimes i think i made a bad choice!

Any comments?

Re: One little question!

All cars are going to have problems, however you VW is on the more problematic side. Expect alot of electrical/electronic issues.
