I have a 95 S10 Blazer two door, two wheel drive. It has the Vortec 4.3 six in it and wouldn't pass inspection due to the poppets being dirty. I took it in for maintenance and the tech informed me of the central fuel injection assembly is going out which is the cause for the poppets to be dirty. Has anyone change the assembly? how big of a dent is this going to put in my wallet. What kind of head ache am I dealing with? Thanks for any help.

It's an easy change... Pull the upper plenum and disconnect the power lead and pull the poppets... When you change the CPI unit you should also change the nut kit (inbound/outbound fuel line) as with age the become brittle and crack, easier to do it now...
CPI 260.00 at Advance auto parts Nut kit 45.00 at any gm dealer (part #17112705)
