It Keeps Cutting Off
My 1988 Wrangler starts and idles fine. However, after I drive it a few minutes and it warms up, it starts dying every time I stop at a light. I've changed every vacuum hose and some ignition components. While it's running, it's great, but whenever I stop it dies. It restarts fine, but it will not idle once I put on the brakes. This is so frustrating. Can anybody help me with some ideas?

Hey I have a 97 Wrangler and the same exact thing is happening to me. I dont know if you've fixed the problem yet, but try checking the idol speed control valve. That's the problem with my jeep. |

Re: It Keeps Cutting Off
It sounds like your idle air control(IAC) valve has gone bad, this valve controls how much air your engien takes in while your jeep is idling. Sometimes they just get dirty but cleaing them will usually finish them off too so i would just replace it. the part will probably cost less than $50
