missing voltage

my cd player quit working cuz suddenly my yellow wire in the factory wiring harness is now only getting 4 volts instead of the 12 i need to run it.. anyone know why this happend/ how to fix it... ?

your crystal inhibitor is deisabled....
ok that was a stupid joke. i'm not sure but what is yellow for? you could just hook it up to another 12 volt source.

i don't understand how that would have happened. did you check it with a multimeter? you could possible run a relay to simulate the yellow wire.

I would take the yellow wire out and then put a new one in. Maybe there's a problem somewhere that could be fixed by you replacing it and rewhiring it. Just my 2 cents

i know it can be rerouted i just dunno why all the sudden one day i cut my car on and the yellow wire dies.. maybe a power surge or something but its damn retared now i have a new cd player that i can only stare at till i can fix all this stuff on saturday...
