mileage

anyone kno how to disable the mileage gauge on an obd 2 vehical?

my friend was talkin about doing it on his car, but i dont think he can do it since is computer controlled, and if he does its gonna affect something else on the vehical

yeah, you can unplug the instrument cluster, but they nothing else will work either. besides, i think the BCM has its own internal Odometer that is what really gets the message on mileage, and then transmits it to the IPC. so there really isnt anyway to do it thats easy. besides, its just a little illegal.
