Smile Need 5.0 Advice

Hey guys, im new here and i am about to buy a 1988 5.0. It's got about 120, 000 miles on the engine. I was lookin for some advice on the build up of this car. I was planning on making it a road car so i was thinking of upgrading the suspension/tires first. Could anyone give me some pointers on suspension upgrades, like what brands to buy and products to buy? I was also wanting to do some cheap power upgrades, like an exhaust system, CAI, headers, gears etc. If anyone has advice on the build up of this car I would really appreciate it, well thanks for your help!

go to www.50resto.com, they are probably the best internet source for Mustang parts. the first thing you should do is re-bush the suspension with a Prothane kit, if driveline/suspention upgrades are the way you wanna go. get urethane motor and trans mounts too. wheels and tires are entirely about taste and power. if you're going to push a lot to the wheels go with street slicks in the back and normal tires in the front. them's the basics pretty much.
