Talking good deal or what!?!

well, went to my local wreckers today to get some interior pieces, notice they finally got the hood to open on this blue hatchback that i've been gettin parts from, i walk up and pop the hood and what do i see? a DOHC ZC!!! i asked the guy how much he wanted for the motor, tranny and axles, he told me $500 cnd!!! that includes labour costs for him to take it out too!!!! talked it over with my parents and they said if he'll take installments on it then its all mine, so i'm pretty sure i can talk him into it! so it appears i'm going DOHC soon!!! i'm so stoked

the motors gonna sit in my garage for awhile prolly cuz i wanna build it up and i wanna get a price from the machine shop on a P&P and 3 angle valve job, should be really wild so hopefully by July i'll have a motor up and running in the civic this is the BEST day of my life

also, do i really need the axels? would mine work?? and how can u tell if its an LSD ZC tranny?? and i know it is a true ZC because i scraped off the gunk on the motor with my key and it says "ZC" so as soon as this babys in my possession i'll get pics up asap!!!! might not be for a couple weeks tho

the sohc axels are smaller than what are found in the dohc zc tranny. there basically teg axles. as far as lsd....look into the tranny where the axle goes(both axles out) if you can see right through its non lsd, if you cant see through you may be in luck.

Re: good deal or what!?!

well a bottom end rebuild isn't hard at all, just follow the directions of a manual basically. and get the axles, ZC axles are equal length
