Re: anyone here have desktop dragstrip??????

desktop dyno is a software program that pretty accurately estamates power output of an engine setup, gives full power curves and all. you can alter bore, stroke, heads, cams, compressions, intake, exhaust, pretty much everything, there are a few variables that arent included, but ive tested it against dyno'd engine setups and its usually only off by around 10%, which isnt too bad, and it normally predicts less power than the engine actually makes. at least with my tests. Desktop dragstrip is basicly the same deal, you setup a car, tire size, drag coefficient, drivetrain, weight, gears, all that stuff, and it predicts from a given powerband and given info around what time through the traps your car should go. and at what speed. ive heard its pretty accurate as well, but i dont have it, so i havent been able to compair it to real world numbers.

Summit Racing used to sell that program. Check them out to see if they still sell it.

Re: anyone here have desktop dragstrip??????

i dunno about buying a program from ebay. i guess it would be ok if it was bran new in box but otherwise who knows what condition the disk is in. but yeah summet and maybe jegs. otherwise if you ahve any speed shops near you there are a few around my place that sell it so if there are any where ever your at they might have it in house. oh yeah and i think they are around like $40.

I think I'll try looking at Summit, as I've never been a fan of buying anything off of Ebay.
