Hondata ECU flash - worth it?
I've been reading alot about the Hondata ECU flash and was wondering if anyone out there has had it done on a TypeS.
From the Hondata site it seems to add a whole 12-20 hp and 15-20 ft-lb of torque from the stock ECU. The torque curve is also a lot flatter since the VTEC engages at a lowered 5200rpm and there is no major dip before engaging, as with the stock program. Has anyone flashed their ECU with the rev limiter raised to 8600? If so, how easy is it to go over the redline? I've read that the revs kick in so fast that you don't notice you're in the red. I'm just debating whether to flash with the rev limiter at 8600rpm or just leaving it alone since I'll probably be too tempted to go red when I'm first at a light. Please provide any details of the program you chose(stock rev or upped rev), how your car drives after the ECU re-flash and if it was worth the $$. Thanks

Re: Hondata ECU flash - worth it?
I don't have it, but ask around on http://forums.clubrsx.com and http://forums.clubrsx.com/forumdisplay.php?f=130
And yes, combined with an intake and a few other bolt on mods you can unlock some nice power |
