99 Suburban stuck in 4LO no switch lights

The T case 20 amp fuse is blown and keeps on blowing whether vehicle is on or not. The trans case control module looks ok (no hot spots).
I am stuck! anyone have any suggestions or advice?

Howdy: I had the same problem after the intake gasket was replaced. Turned out to be a shorted power wire behind the engine block. Found it after I replaced the control module and the motor encoder on the transfer case to the tune of $850. There's a plug above the t-case that powers the encoder. Disconnect it and see if you find a short in the orange wire which goes directly to the t-case fuse. If no short it's probably the encoder motor shorted internally. My Sub is a '99 caryover (early 99) K2500 w/7.4.

P.S. The t-case fuse is powered by the hot batt bus at all times. I have the original module and encoder motor that I know are still good if you're interested.

Good Luck.........Steve
