I also posted this in tech forum but figured I would ask here to since its a 95 Civic.
My problem I was hopeing to get help for is that my check engine light comes on and the code reads out as a knock sensor error, but I can't find a knock sensor anywhere on my b16a3 engine. Well, what I was hopeing to get an answer for is can I switch the b16a3's ecm (ecu) for another that does not look for the knock sensor? And if so, which one. The light doesn't come on until the engine warms and when it does the vehicle loses all its torque (or so it feels to me). One more thing, if I can't replace the ecu with another, is there a way to short out that pin (d3) on the ecu. So that it doesn't look for the knock sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I can't drive it more then 10 minutes or so before it starts driving crappy!

Re: Check Engine Light
hmm . . . I am curious to know if there is a knock sensor on that motor, there might be, but if you say there isn't then maybe not. You might just have to snag another ecu like a b16a2 ecu from the 99 civic si's. Usually when your ECU Light goes on your car goes into limp mode which causes you to lose power etc . . .
