rear hatch

I parked my 88 camaro over the winter and now i cant get my rear hatch to open. Is there anyway to get it to open without tearing my lock out?

i cant get the rear panel off because there are too body screws that hold it in from the top and the only way to get at these is to have the hatch open. And of course the battery is charged and theres no blown fuses in the fuse block.

Re: rear hatch

Even the keyhole in the back doesnt release it or anything?? Does the lock cylinder in the back do anything when you turn the key in it?

Re: rear hatch

take out the little light in the trunk, it just pops
out. use a phillips screw driver and stick it in between the prongs on the latch. working and twist
it and it should pop open for you
