Disc Brake Dragging
I have a 91 Sonoma; the left front disc brakes are dragging. I replaced the caliper, pads and rotor. I had to replace the pads and rotor, smoked 'em. I can drive about 4 miles on the road at 55 mph and use the brakes at least as possible and the front left wheel will be so hot I can't hold my hand on it.
The break line supplies fluid to both front wheels. Could the culprit be the rubber flex hose? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks |

Re: Disc Brake Dragging
YES.
The rubber hose can deteriorate from the inside and hold pressure on the piston

Re: Disc Brake Dragging
A good rule of thumb, whenever you replace the caliper, replace the hose.
