New 944 owner
Hi, new to the forum. I'm going to be working on an '84 944. Eventually, I'll own it. It belongs to my dad. I'm 31, married, not new to cars, just new to Porsches, but I want to help him out with it. Of course, its red. LOL Its runs good and is complete, but its not perfect. It is, however, a nice driver. I'll try to get some pics on here soon. I'll also have some mechanical questions. The main one, right now, the heater does not work. Fan does work. No coolant leaks anywhere from the heater core, either. Any ideas other than core blockage? It seemed to happen after he had the head gasket replaced (I believe thats what he had done to it). Seems like too big of a coincidence.

Re: New 944 owner
There's a heater valve that's connected to the back of the cylinder head and goes to the firewall.
The valve should be cable actuated and if not hooked back up, would cause no heat! I wish I had a picture to show you, i'll get more detailed if you need.

Thanks a million for the response, 83-944, I'll be checking on that ASAP. I never even considered the heater valve, and probably wouldn't have found it on this car without that description.
