track off?

Hi, I am asking this for my roomate she owns a 2001 Pontaic Sunfire and a dumby light keeps coming on that says track off. Is there a button to turn the track off or is there a problem? We would look in the user manual but she doesn't have one...and she's a little concerned because she hass to drive from Ma to Va this tuesday anyone who knows please answer thanks!
