Angry rear a/c blowing hot

I have a 1994 k1500 suburban. Now when I turn on the a/c, the front works perfect, but the rear blows hot regardless of what position I put the controls on. I recently just changed the dryer, ac compressor, orrifice the whole 9 yards ... Please help .. BURNING UP OVER HERE IN CA

Re: rear a/c blowing hot

Perhaps the rheostat is electrically stusk on hot. I know that all three of my fan control units suck. The fan speed switches and the temp controls are poorly designed in my opinion. Start there maybe, good luck and let us know what it turns out to be.

Re: rear a/c blowing hot

Just had this fixed on mine last week... The rear AC has a expansion valve that got pluged up somewhow. Front worked fine, but rear only blew room temp air. Part was like 40 bucks at autozone...

I am having the same problem. Where is the expansion valve located and is there anyway to test if it is working or not.
Front temp 46
Rear temp 75

Thanks,

Bill

Re: rear a/c blowing hot

no way to test it that I know of... It is in the back around the rear blower somewhere. Expansion valve has a little metal screen that gets blocked, and you might be able to clean it. Mine had to be replaced as the screen had broken and the whole thing was messed up...
