Question Paint..What Kind? How Much?

Hey yall, i've decided to get the body kit after fixing the damage already on the front-end from a slight accident...
I was wondering, would it be cheaper to just paint the new body kit to match my car? (black) or get the whole car resprayed black to remove the slight scratches and stuff. Or would it be better to go ahead and paint the whole car a totally different color like pear orange or silver?
I am looking for the best way to spend my money...
thanks

well the fading from the sun would show up slightly with the body kit, i'd paint it all, unless you plan to get in another accident. i'd just paint the whole car

Re: Paint..What Kind? How Much?

Paint jobs don't come cheap and if your thinking color change, be ready to spend a BUNCH more.If you can find a shop willing to spend the time to wet sand and buff the finish(providing the scratches aren't too deep)and they know what they are doing, you can acheive some amazing results. It may cost ya a coupla hundred bucks or so but still alot cheaper than a complete paint job.Otherwise you can run your car through one of those car washes with the big brushes a bunch of times and in no time your body kit will be full of swirlys like the rest of your car

I don't know the condition of the finish on your car, again if the scratches aren't too deep they can be removed the above way.Fortunately with black you don't have to worry about paint matching. There are products out that are "gloss enhancers"that do a good job of hiding fine scratches etc. but have to be reapplied fairly often. This would be your cheapest option to try,can be applied by hand.

Re: Paint..What Kind? How Much?

OK. ALL GOOD ADVISE...NOW HERE IS YOUR PRICES FOR THE JOB TO BE DONE RIGHT.......FOR A COMPLETE W/ BODY KIT.....(they should remove all lights, moldings, bumpers, and the body kit that you intalled) you will be looking at $3000. AND THIS IS TO BE DONE RIGHT!!!!!.....NOW, IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE COLOR, THEY WILL CHARGE AT LEAST $100 A WHOLE ($400+) TO DO THE CAR......
Also remember, if you change the color of the car from the factory tag, you also lower it's real value.

PAY THE MONEY AND HAVE IT ALL DONE RIGHT. IF YOU SHOP GOOD, YOU CAN GET A CHEAPER PRICE......BUT STAY AWAY FROM MACCO!!!!!! PLEASE. they will mess anything up because they are cheap.....ANY OTHER ?'S I AM A BODY & PAINT TECH
