Front end noise

My problem is similiar to the one below but has a few different symptoms. Random knocking in left front. Does not occur always on bumpy road or at steady speeds on the hiway. The wheel spins smoothly with no play when moved verticaly or horizontally. No noise when the front end is bounced. Seems to occur when going down a slight incline on a curve. One time it occured when I pumped the brakes. Turning the wheel from left to right quickly at around 25 does not cause it to happen. Actually sounds like something is loose and swaying and bumping against something. Evenything appears tight under there: heat shields, exhause, etc are tight. Lug nuts are tight. What are the symptoms of a CV joint malfunction? The car has 174k miles.

Re: Front end noise

Replace your stabilizer bar link kits. This component stops boby roll. It is attached to your strut and to your stabilizer bar. I have replaced lots of these on taurus' at my dealer. I also have gone through two sets on my 98 Taurus. 150k miles on mine
