I have a 95 Mercury Cougar with a factory installed alarm and kill switch. To make it brief, the system hasn't worked right for years. Does anyone know if there is a fuse dedicated to the alarm system only and will pulling that fuse effectively kill the alarm system. As of now, every few minutes the siren will wail three times and the doors lock and unlock, also three times. Can get a bit embarassing in traffic! Any help would be appreciated.
Added question: Would I be better off just going to an alarm company and having them disconnect it and / or will that cost a fortune? Thanks again! |

Re: Alarm System Snafu
Yeah, I would try a specialty alarm shop. They should charge a whole lot for something like that. I would be careful though. You might have something else going on if the alarm sounds as you drive it. They are not to do anything when the ignition is on.
