Angry new battery losing power

I just bought my 1991 Maxima a couple of months ago. Its been running great until a week ago when the battery went dead. I purchased a new battery and in about 3 days it lost its charge. I replaced the new battery with a better brand and the same thing happened. I checked the altenator with a multimeter and it showed 13+ volts, telling me that it was charging the battery. Any idea's on what to do next would help.

thanks

jed

Your Altenator isn't charging. You should have about 14.5 Volts. 13 is to low. Turn you headlights on and I bet you drop below 12.

something is draining the battery. I don't think it is the alt. but you never know, you need to check the charging system.

Most likely there is a drain somewhere. Also, check your battery cables and clean them and the battery posts. Good Luck!!
