swapping engines

whats up I have a 86 chevy truck with a 350 but i want to put a 5.7 vortec i got the engine from a salvaged 96 z71 with 78000 miles on it i want the to use the vortec fuel injection what would be the easiest way to do this i was going to buy the wiring harness and computer out of the same truck please help thanks

I have a buddy that did the same exact thing, and he just ditched the electronics and went with a carb. but it also depends on how much money you want to spend...

If you decide to go with the computer, I believe you'll have to use the 4L60 tranny, but im not exactly sure.
