Re: eclipse vs lancer

I think there's no way an OZ can beat an Eclipse GS. The 95 and up GS mostly have the 2.0 DOHC engine, just like the evo engine without turbo. And even RS and some GS have 2.4 SOHC. And the Lancer ES or OZ I think it's either 1.8 SOHC or 2.0 SOHC. But I'm not sure about the weight, but the Lancer looks heavier to me. So if OZ can beat an eclipse, it's really the driver's problem.

Re: eclipse vs lancer

Actually the 95-99 eclipse non-turbos have a completely different motor than the evo/turbo eclipse. RS/GS motor is the chrysler 420A motor.

Re: eclipse vs lancer

i raced an eclipse gs.
i got him at the start but he slowly started to pull away from me. I think with some mods the lancer could keep up.

Re: eclipse vs lancer

Evo will kill the gsx. Stock GSX runs low 15s and stock Evos runs low 13s.
