Oil Pan

Should the indicator light go on if the oil pan is cracked and leaking oil?

Re: Oil Pan

oil indicator light is triggered by oil pressure. This is due to clogging of the system and sometimes low oil. A crack in the pan or leaking oil will not trigger the light unless the oil level is very low due to the leak.
