advice
I'm looking into getting rid of my first car, a civic, and I've been looking at the BMW 325 series. I have a budget of about 8000, and I'm not sure of what to look for. A co-workers brother is selling a 94 325i, has 170k on the entire engine, but 80k back its engine was rebuilt, and a year earlier the alternator/radiator and some other major parts were replaced. Its all nice and tricked out with wheels and suspension and exhaust, etc.. but its only 6000. I'm not sure if this is a really low price and I should be cautious, or if I'm maybe getting a good deal. I'd hate to go deal with a dealer because I figure it'll be a lot more expensive but maybe it pays to do that with cars as nice as these. I'd appreciate any response, maybe an idea of what I should be looking for when spending 6 to 8 thousand. Much appreciated,
Jon, IN. |

The car is going somewhere between $5000-$5500. I think you are in the ball park with his price, but I also feel you could buy a better car for $8000. Is this an automatic or standard? 325i was a 4 door.
I would look for a 1996. I think you can get something nicer for 8K. |
