b16a3 engine, check engine light= knock sensor

I have a 95 honda civic with a b16a3 engine as the subject says.
Check engine light comes on once it warms up took a look at it and
get a 23 error code which is the knock sensor. Well there isn't a knock
sensor on this engine (atleast not the one I have) My question is, is
it ok to replace the ecu that came with the b16 to a regular civic ecu
so that it no longer looks for the knock sensor? Or is there a way to
short it out on the d3 pin of the ecu? Thanks in advance
