Datsun 240z vs Eagle Vision TSi

Dun Dun Dun!!!

I haven't posted a good race story in a while!

Alright, So I'm heading down the 405 going southbound to hit up Nickle Nickle arcade to play me some Initial D with my Z buddies.

We're such dorks.

Anywho, I'm in the fast lane cruisin at about 70mph in the Z with the windows down. It's about 8pm'ish and the air is nice and warm. I roll up to this white Eagle Vision TSi that looks to be about a 94 or so.

I pay no attention untill out of the corner of my eye I see his nose raise up and he pulls next to me. I look over puzzled, he keeps looking at me and back to the road... I was like

I wasn't sure what the guy wanted, so I just wanted to get away from him incase he was a nutjob. I down shift into 4th and give her gas. I start to slowly pull away... he guns it next to me.

Ok, Fine... downshift to 3rd and mash the pedal. Poor 240z didn't like that... ran her up to about 6200rpm, shift back up to 4th... up to 5800rpm. He was with me for a bit in 3rd... by the time I hit 4th he was 4-5 car lengths back. I shut down at about 115mph.

I jockey my way through the sparse traffic, and make my way over to my exit which was coming up real quick. He starts to follow me for some strange reason, Not sure what the deal was... So I decided I wanted to lose this guy for good, and took the exit that spit me out going the opposite direction I wanted to go on the street. I heel-toe myself down into 3rd gear and take the exit stupidly fast which is a tight sweeping right turn. He tries to follow pursuit... then as I hit the street he's about 8-9 car lengths back.

So, I stay in the far right lane and hop back onto the freeway and take another tight right hand turn up onto the freeway. I than kept my foot matted to the floor till I hit the next exit and go off there, caught the light and jetted onto a side street. I didn't see him anywhere at that point.

So I got back onto the freeway and got off my normal exit and went and played me some Initial D arcade.

Not sure what the deal was with the duder, it was fun at first then sorta scary.

Fun times... too bad I can only pick on slow family sedans.

Very Soon, that will alll change.

Re: Datsun 240z vs Eagle Vision TSi

Good kill. I thought for a second that it was a Eagle Talon TSi (Getting ready to pull a BS flag ). Good kill on a grandpa's car. Time to put in that carburetor and goodies that you purchased. I'm sure the extra 20+ horsepower will make you happy. BTW I got my HKS catback exhaust system. I'll be seeing 10 whp more very shortly. Can't wait for Fatninja at teh track

He didn't call on the "Power of Polygon"...

You would have been toast, otherwise.

Good kill.

I haven't bought anything for the car yet...

And the triple carbs, cam, and header would net me about 65-70hp more than I have now.

But, I've got a secret plan for the car... If all goes well this friday, the Z will have an all new motor.

If the Talon dude called on the power of the Polygon my car would of simply exploded.

All that needs to be said, I've been lurking the street racing forums for quite sometime and I hope it is what I think it is.

ROTFLMAO!!!!

Yeah, the TSi isn't that slow. Yeah most of the TSi's grunt is in the bottom end. The top end isn't so good I've found. Good kill, stange guy though.

I think the reason the guy was following you was because.......You Own A Datsun! I almost have wrecks every time I see one cause I love its European look-alike styling.

Sounds to me that the TSi driver was already at the arcade playing Initial D. Mentally, that is. Godd work meng!
