Re: nada

im guessing thats aimed at me ok cuz i was wondering if you had like 4.10 gears or something that was shocking the trans, but yeah sounds to me like either the trans housing is shot, and is eating up all the new parts when you put em in, or when the trans was serviced they never flushed the lines and cooler, so there was bad fluid filled with debris in there. or the cooler could be clogged, lack of fluid flow would roast a trans pretty quick. also how are you driving it? alot of manual shifting or anything??? because that tends to accelerate damage to the trans.

Re: nada

not promising. my shop dosnt flush transmissions, we drain and fill, and flush the cooler, but you sound like you need a full tranny flush. clean out all the bad blood, and put new fluids in. at least 3 or 4 hours labor, 240-320 bucks.

(1994 z28) I just want to save3 money as cheap as I may sound 250-300 is ALOT for me...

btw I could just drill a hole in the bottom of the tranny and when im done letting it drain just stick a piece of bubble gum in it :P

Re: nada

its so easy to drain the tranny. just unbolt the pan, let the fluid drain, buy a new gasket, take the old gasket off, put the new one on, bolt up the pan, and put fluid in. at least thats how i did it.
