Question '94 318is stock stereo LCD

My LCD for the stock radio (CD changer in trunk) is cloudy and smeared looking. I also believe 1 or 2 bulbs are out. How do I remove the head unit to replace bulbs? I see the 2 "tabs" on each side of the head unit, but do I need a special tool to actually be able to pull out the unit to get to the bulbs?

Re: '94 318is stock stereo LCD

to remove the radio pry open the small access covers from each side of the unit to release the unit there are allen screws behind the access coves lossen them (they dont come all the way out) then pull the unit out. but remember when you take the power off the unit and put it back on you will haft to put in your code before the unit will work. the code will be with your manules.
