Not new to motorcycles... don't get mad..

Hey guys, I know you get this question a lot, but my situation is a little different. I'm extrememly experienced in motocross. I'm 18 but I'm a little more responsible then the average kid. I'm not a ricer so I'm not stupid. I know that an R1 would knock me on my ass. But since I'm really good at the basics (throttle control, knowing limits, bike control etc.) I really wanna "start out" on something like an 00-03 CBR600f4i. Like I said, I'm not new to motorcycles one bit. So what do you think? Also, I have a clean driving record, so what do you think insurance is on average?

With your riding experience, I think you should be fine on the CBR600, any generation. JMO.

Yeah you will be fine but im curious why your even asking. You know your gonna get a F4i anyways. If you want an f4i get one, you will be fine, you got the basics down already at least, but just remember they are not the same at all and the only thing that is the same is "THE BASICS". Throttle is way different but will be easy to get the hang of for you. But dont ride it like you ride your MX cuz youll get bucked before you even know what happen.
