got the fuel filter changed......still nto right...

Oh kay, My wife ran out of gas the other day. Not good.

Well I went on a trip Tuesday, Noticed sluggishness.. then headed home adn light came on for lean bank 1 adn 2... Oh great.. clogged filter... right...
So I changed the filter.. It hasn't run long enough to trip the code again but it will soon enough. because it is behavign teh same way sluggish as hell when the foot is down. Me and this van has been through hell and back.. and now it's startign to be funni... I want it fixed but I dunno where to go next.. Drop the tank? clean teh filters... or the pump slacking?

The only codes that tripped were <LEAN BANK 1> and <LEAN BANK 2>
SO It's a fuel deficency soemwhere alogn teh lines... but where... It's teh first real problems I've ever had from it..

It's got 172k on it.. 3.0..of course AXOD... Kinda needs an oil change.. but that's nto causeign the lean problems..
Tranny fluid & Fitler got doen casue it had never been done in its life from what I could tell...

Even after the 15' drop we took into the creek she started right up... Help us please!!! For me this is mind bogglling.. I work on 4cyl mitsus adn Ford 5.0... not teh new stuff tho..help please...

There could be other causes than the fuel system such as air leaks or the EGR system.

Could the fuel pump be going south? I've been lead to believe that if you run out of fuel with these in tank pumps and leave the key on (pump working) for any length of time it does nasty things to the pump. Maybe someone just jerking my chain?
