Question about projector lights

Do you have to replace the stock air box to make the aftermarket lights fit cuz its really tight in there.. I think its a bad design on hondas part puttin an air box in front of a headlight anyway..

How is it a bad design? Its bad because they didn't allow for each and every possible modification?
