I went to Oahu once, considering that's where most Hawiaans live. Really Waikiki is the only place I went, pretty good though.

I can look out my lanai, and see the mountains and the ocean, just taking a drive over to my friends house totally takes your breathe away. I consider myself lucky everyday to live in paradise...

Hey Becky,
I used to be one of those kids body surfing on Kuhio Beach in the 50's. I went back for a visit a couple of years ago and noticed that the wave pattern has changed: No more surfable waves! What happened? I also used to surf Makapuu Beach too. Looks like half the beach isn't there anymore either. Oh, don't forget to send me a CARE Package in the form of a frozen plate lunch from Rainbow Drive Inn in Kapahulu. Boy, do I miss lau laus and poi !! :-) I live in the Reno area now.

Aloha Doug! Yeah the weekly magazine just had an aticle on all of the beaches in Waikiki disapearing, and that the surf isn't nearly as good as it used to be. Oh and the food.... I heard you can have Zippys mailed to you! Becky
