What is the name of the sohc engine in the 95 neons???

What is the engine name in the 1995 sohc engine?? You know like 420a. also can the sohc engine handle 275hp stock like the 420a neon???

275 on a SOHC wit some NOS maybe??
you'll need a new clutch too 3 stage
then you'll blow it

I read on http://www.allpar.com/mopar/2.html that it can handle up to 330 hp stock before the rods start to stretch. I saw somewhere what the name of the engine is, but can't find it now. I'll keep looking.

420a is the name of the engine

those are not the same engine chrysler never designated that engine as the 420a , s4re is the sohc designation. The 420 is the mitsu version with the head flipped 180.
