Question cut-out or catback on a v6???

I know the v6 F-bodies rely on their torque to get off the line, but i love the idea of running with open headers and then being able to close them for emissions and reopening them right after. So I guess what I'm trying to say is would i lose speed by putting a cutout on a v6 because of losing backpressure, aka torque ????? If I were to go with a cutout instead of magnaflow cat-back, i would also be able to afford pacesetter headers and 3.73 gears, so what would be faster ..... magnaflow catback or headers gears and a cutout??

DO NOT GET THE PACESETTER HEADERS!!!! get the magnaflow cat-back, a high flow cat, and call it a night. trust me on this, the pacesetters are not worth the box they are shipped in!!!

ah yes.. also heard bad thinga about pacesetter.. seems they set a slow pace.. lol. If you want good headers go with MAC. I hear they have a nice setup.

Re: cut-out or catback on a v6???

the craftsman ship on the pacesetter headers is sub-par. mine didnt fit right so i have to redo them after school lets out. i know that RKSport makes headers for the 3.4 (i assume you have a 3.4 cause you brought up pacesetter) but they arent street legal. ive never heard of the MAC ones, but if they are legal they have to be better than pacesetter...

no n its rk sport that doesnt make a good seal...so your sayin id get more power AND better sound from full magnaflow catback than a set of pacesetter headers 3.73gears and a cutout???

well i dont know about rk sport but i do know that the pacesetter's do not seal for shit. so i guess that they both suck and that you should nix the whole headers idea and stick to the cat-back and high-flow cat. that will give you the best of both worlds...
