99 Tahoe Cam code P0304

This is the discription from the machanic shop
'Cam code P0304 resetting on engine start-up will not clear. Will need furhter testing to determine cause of failure conditioning turning MIL on. Note: Vehicle has some hesitation '

History:
I replaced the intake manifold gasket because of coolant leak, took the vehicle to a shop and had the timimg and cam sync set. There is still hesitation when I acelerate and the check engine light stays on. Do anyone have any Ideas?
Help anyone, I'm desoerate here.

P0304 is a misfire code for #4 cylinder
Are you sure that is the code?

Re: 99 Tahoe Cam code P0304

Yes that's the code that the shop said they needed to investigate more. P0304.

Is there anything I can do to try to rectify the problem or am I screwed and stuck with taking it to a shop?

It seems by the time I'm done fixing this truck, I could have used that money to buy a brand new truck right off the shelf.

Re: Re: 99 Tahoe Cam code P0304

A P0304 is a misfire code specific to # 4 cylinder..
I would look for a fouled plug, bad plug wire or the possibility that an injector is clogged or not firing.
