rsx vs lude

well i was driving home from practice in bowie md last night round 10 o'clock on 301 this rsx pulls up to me in the far left lane(me in the far left) i asked him if that it was the S and as a jeep pulled up between us i heard yup. he took off from that light and at the next light i pulled up next to him i gave him a quick nod and the ligth turned green. i got a shitty launch and he got a half car on me in first. shifted to second he got bout aother half car length and by third he had 2 cars on me, but once he hit 4th he instantly started pullin and by the tme we shut it down( round 95) he had prolly round 4-5 car lengths on me. he turned off at the next ligth so never got to give him a thumbs up. those things are quick once tehy hit 4th.
i have a 92 lude Si with intake headers and high flow cat(damn emissions) and a few lil things but nothin else really worth mentioning.

Re: rsx vs lude

Ive never raced one. Would like to. I was talkin to this guy in Taco Bell who had an RSX but he had this chick with him and I had 2 other people so I couldnt get a race to happen. He said he was fairly modded.

I raced this Lude earlier this week; I really didnt want to race him though. I shut off after hitting second cause I was already too far ahead.

I raced one

There is a kid that goes to my school and owns a brand new RSX type S and i have a 95 vtec lude basically stock besides intake, 9.3mm plug wires and exhaust. I have raced him twice on the street the first time was rolling start from about 20 we were perfectly tied and then i shifted into second and hit Vtec and started pulling on him (slowly but surely). then into third and as i hit vtec i pulled on him a little more we let out of it at about 85 and his front bumper was even with my back. The other time was right off the light and it was only to like 35-40 but it was almost an exact tie. But last weekend at the street grudge racing at the track i raced him (heads up) and i won with a time of 15.6 at 89.6 mph and he ran a 16.2. I dunno if he sucks at drivin or just got a lemon because his fastest time ws 16 flat.

Look at his trap speed. If his trap is higher than yours, then yes he is a very bad driver. If it isnt then his car is horrible.

Re: rsx vs lude

It may be just me, but i thought that the new Type-s was a VTEC also, why didn't he jump ahead when he hit VTEC? The prelude h22 in stock is only 200hp right? And isn't the type-s lighter with just the same amount of HP? Just a question for anyone with the knowledge. By the way, what's the weight of both the cars?

Re: rsx vs lude

They both have vtec. Why does everybody think vtec is a 100 shot of nitrous or something? It's just a little kick.. Anyways, they both weigh about the same and both have about the same power. It's a driver's race.

and i beat an rsx type s back when my gsr was nearly bone stock !! I blow them away now days , but the fact is its all about the driver ... just because you should beat something , doesnt mean you will ... and i think that type r wouldve walked away from you with a better driver
