Maintenance Question

Hi all, I'm new here. I've never owned an AM and was looking into a used DB7. What is the reliability like for AM and how often do the cars require maintenance?

Thanks for any info. Sorry for the newbie questions.

Re: Maintenance Question

I have the same question as well... long term Porsche owner looking for an alternative. Always like the lines and interior details of the Aston Martin.

Astons are bullet proofe as long as they have a full (and often costly)aston service history. You need to be prepared to spend the money on upkeeping that law too. If you want resonable running costs, the 3.2 is a good, solid car, but for the purist, its too slow, and too much of a ford/jag.

The introduction of the Vantage, with that awsome V12 was the wake up call the DB7 needed. The facelifted interior is much better than that of the earlier 3.2, as is the performance (obviously!) Running costs are however dramaticaly higher.

The service history is a golden rule. If all of that is in place, and its current owner seems like the respectful type, then regardless of year or milage, its tougher than a house brick.
