I have a 1995 Dodge Caravan & lately it has been leaking a little Oil. i noticed it's been leaking a few drops & this has been happening for a week now. Over the last week it has been stalling while we are stopped at lights. Today the engine stopped as we were turning a corner & I couldn't get it out of Park. It started again but stalled straight away. After waiting 10 miutes it started okay - drove a mile & then it stopped again. There is no strange noises - it just stops & it is silent when this happens. Any suggestions as to what is happening????

Re: Stallign Caravan
Fuel pump, fuel pump relay, idle air control valve, really bad gas. Your oil leak is probably the rear valve cover if it's a 6cyl, or timing cover if it's a 2.5L 4cyl. Other leak sources are; oil filter not tight, oil pressure sending unit, rear main seal, front seals, the front valve cover gasket (on a 6cyl), distributor gasket.
Or it's not oil at all and your transmission is leaking burnt (brown) fluid that stinks. Check this stuff first, but I doubt the oil leak is causing the stalling. If it IS causing the stalling, look for bad headgasket(s). Slantsixness Check your diagnostic codes. If you don't know how, ask!
