Weak starter on my 2001 T/A?
I'm wondering if this is normal:
When I go to start up my T/A after it has been off for, say, at least an hour, it starts up with a nice, intimidating, sounding roar. But if I shut her off, and then start her up again shortly thereafter (say .. after refilling the gas tank ... so maybe 10 minutes) the start up isn't nearly as impressive; i.e. it's very weak sounding. Is this normal behavior or is there something wrong with my starter? BTW, she was like this since I bought her (used) from CarMax back in November 2003 (with 17k miles). |

Quote:
Ever checked your battery? try that first...Autozone usually will take care of that for you. It would be easier to buy/change a battery then a starter
