1979 F250

~i've got an 1979 F250 that i need to put tires onto. i dont know what the recomended tire size is for that year/make truck. if anywould could help me that would be great. oh , its a flatbed.

I'm not sureon the right size but my on my 78 the front tires are 225/75/R16 if that helps

most trucks in that era, 3/4 ton and over, used a 235/85/r16. I have gotten away from that size on my older trucks, and gone to either a 265/75/16 or 285/75/16. Depending what you want to do with the truck, look more to the ply and load rating than the size.

street driving

~at the moment i'm mostly looking at doing street driving with light loads. just trying to get the car back to my state so that i can do more work on it. my friend has had it about a year restoring most of the body and i need to get it back to my state. once here i can work at my own pace and judge accordingly.
