Question GM and Renault

Is there a partnership between them? After reading this http://www.autointell-news.com/News-...r-30-02-p2.htm
it sounds like they have a partnership. Does that mean there is a GM and Nissan partnership too? So many questions

Re: GM and Renault

Renault had an alliance with Chrysler years ago, but the French saw where that was going, and bailed.
GM has ties with Toyota, Saab, and OPel. But the difference is; you won't see them buying GM like the Nazis did Chrysler.

Re: GM and Renault

GM owns Saab and Opel. GM has a joint-venture with Toyota (NUMMI in California where they build the Pontiac Vibe). GM also has a joint-venture with Renault...Renault builds some Opel and Vauxhall vans (Renault designed) and GM builds some Renault vans.

No automaker will buy out GM simply because GM has too much baggage....it's not worth the investment.
